ROAR relieves poverty by facilitating the settlement of LGBTQI+ refugees. We provide financial assistance and help LGBTQI+ refugees find housing, employment, and access to government and community-based services.
ROAR is in your community
Based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, we are volunteers dedicated to providing a safe haven to LGBTQI+ refugees facing serious persecution.

ROAR relieves poverty by facilitating the settlement of LGBTQI+ refugees in Nanaimo. We provide financial assistance and help people find housing, employment, and access to government and community-based services.
In our work to bring refugees to Canada and respectfully help them begin a new life in safety, we partner with Brechin United Church in Nanaimo and cooperate with other organizations around the country.
