It's been a good year. We are pleased to report that a ROAR sponsorship group welcomed a person from Asia in October 2023. That's 3 people brought to safety so far this year. We are still waiting for a person who has been delayed in Africa. Meanwhile, two other sponsorship groups are forming.

Based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, we are volunteers dedicated to providing a safe haven to LGBTQ refugees facing serious persecution.

In our work to bring refugees to Canada and respectfully help them begin a new life in safety, we partner with Brechin United Church in Nanaimo and cooperate with other organizations around the country.
