2018 is our breakthrough year. It began with the arrival in February of the first refugee ROAR sponsored. A second refugee we are supporting overseas is still waiting to come to Canada. We expect him to arrive in the summer. Meanwhile, a new sponsorship group has just formed to begin the complex process of bringing a woman refugee to safety.
We hope to inspire and motivate the community to support more LGBTQ refugees through our educational and fundraising events.
